Athletic development for athletes ages 8-12
The right program at this age will set the base for their athletic career. That program is CrossFit Kids! If you’re a parent who’s interested in increasing your child’s level of athletic performance you’re in the right place. Most athletes at this young of an age have little body awareness and are lacking in the knowledge of basic physical movement patterns. We will teach and repeat physical movements that mimic on the field activates along with proper form and sprinting mechanics. Much like our older athletes this class will provide balance, strength, coordination, flexibility, power, cardio/respiratory endurance, stamina, accuracy, speed, and agility; but we will be more concerned with instilling the foundations of these attributes rather than mastery of them. Mastery is taught is in our sports training program ages 13-18.
The setting we provide is excellent for your child to have fun with fitness and learn how hard work pays off. Participation in this class will increase their confidence, athletic ability, and overall fitness. We’ve seen it first hand. This is the prime time to enhance and ingrain these assets that will compliment the next level of their conditioning programming.
