Improvements come over time. This isn’t something you can expect to happen without pressing the envelop. This isn’t something that is easy. This is something that all great athletes have had to deal with. Whether you’re a mom or college level CrossFitter you have to develop tenacity. You have to train to distance yourself from the comfortable and live in the uncomfortable. This is where change happens and where we put our athletes everyday.
Joe wasn’t the same without Tex but Dom tried to fill in and everybody worked hard. Good comments.

Sisu is a Finnish term loosely translated into English as strength of will, determination, perseverance, and acting rationally in the face of adversity. However, the word is widely considered to lack a proper translation into any language. Sisu has been described as being integral to understanding Finnish culture. The literal meaning is equivalent in English to “having guts”, and the word derives from sisus, which means something inner or interior. However sisu is defined by a long-term element in it; it is not momentary courage, but the ability to sustain an action against the odds. Deciding on a course of action and the sticking to that decision against repeated failures is sisu. The noun sisu is related to the adjective sisukas, one having the quality of sisu.

Austin placed 6th place overall at the CrossFit Games. Phenomenal effort and it showed. Totally prepared for any situation. Great job.
Austin performed this WOD at the Regionals and did it in 5:03, he was working on his rhythm. Then he did it today after being in the car for 3 hours and blows away his old time with a 3:40. As of this posting this is the best time for this WOD.
